ok, i just thought, i dont treat my pond!!! ohmy.gif i know, slap me on the back of the hand. im sure you have to do this, dont you? theyve been fine up until now and are all still going strong but it would be better for them if i treated it wouldnt it?

what do you mean by treating?
do you mean dechlorinating?
i dont do it either
i heard that it only takes one day to evaporate outside

If you are talking about dechlorinating you should do it. Hopefully, depending on your location you can get sodium thiosulfate. It is dirt cheap, totally effective on chlorine and for about $10 you can get a lifetime supply.
Chlorine is very toxic too a fishes gills even in minute concentrations. My guess is since you have not had a problem so far, the chlorine is working on the organics in the pond and and neutralizing itself that way.

Ami, when reading through your post, you mean something like a general procedure for spring, to prepare your fish for whatever is coming? Like cleaning up the sludge, getting some PP in the pond?

just kind of dechlorinating, adding stress zyme etc. also, should i put some gravel in there too to collect the muck?

no, do not put gravel in the bottom of your pond! Clean the muck out, it holds bad bacteria that will cause serious problems for your fish, possibly death.
