You know that poor ich-ridden rescue betta with fin rot I've been writing about?

I gave him clean water today to give him a break between meds--just salt in it--and when I came home tonight there was a mass of bubbles in the plastic plant.

He keeps admiring his reflection in the submersible heater.

I admire his attitude.

Great sign that the little guy is feeling well enough to build a bubble nest biggrin.gif I admire his spunk, too.

Good luck with him and please keep us posted smile.gif

that's a bubble nest! that means he's getting better. A bubble nest is a grouping of little "spit" bubbles that your betta creates when he is in good spirits. He goes to the surface of the water, sucks in air, rolls it around in his mouth and then spits it up to the surface. The bubbles are strong and they serve teh purpose of holding & protecting the eggs when male and female bettas spawn. smile.gif Congrats that he's feeling better.
