a piece of colored foil a little larger and longer than my tank and crumpled it up a little and taped it to the back of my tank. It creates a nice background that has the illusion of being rocky and having some depth. You could use foil giftwrap in any color you want - looks very nice.

Unfortunatley, not at this time - I wanted a more natural look this time around. I did just aquire a 30 gallon from a friend at work - perhaps when I set that one up.

you want a piece of foil a little larger than the back of your tank surface so that after you crumble and uncrumble the foil - it will meet the edges of your tank for full coverage.
