thats great that your trying to feed your goldie some "healthy food".
you could try fasting him for a couple of days and then introducing it to him. also its ok to leave them (veggies) in there for a few hours.
do you have gravel in your tank? doeas your goldie pick at the gravel in search of leftover food? if so, leave a couple of skinned and pinched (thawed from frozen) peas in there for an afternoon. then check to see if they are there later.
you can get veggie clips for fish or reptiles at most local fish stores. they are very useful in that goldies often graze the waters surface for food. a veggie clip will keep the food right at the water surface.
you could boil or microwave (in water) a small chunk of broccoli w/stem. veg-clip it and leave it for an afternoon.
your goldie isnt perhaps a black moor is it?

I thought goldies went for anything and everything that fell in the tank! I think you have some fussy little fishes!
But yea i guess what has been said is good, just slowly introduce it and put it in a place where they recognise that food comes from. They'll get the idea eventually.

Hmmm... do you think they are bite-sized enough for him? My goldies had trouble with some of even actual gold-fish food, unless I broke it into little peices. Watch to see what he does. Maybe mix really tiny peices with the other food and he may accidently eat it too.

You got to trick your babies sometimes!

heh. green poop, huh? oh no! it sounds like your goldie is becoming a full fledged veggie freak!
just kidding! thats great news! if you should decide to try to feed him other veggies, dont forget to cook them long enough to "soften" them to their liking!
