have torn his fins. I think during one of his swimming upside down episodes he must have torn them someone on something. Is there anything I should be doing to help them heal? I have milk crates in the tanks and the fish love to swim in and around them. I'm thinking he came in contact with a sharp edge somewhere. Any advice would be appreciated.

a good way to heal the torn fins is to put salt in your aquarium(if you don't already have salt in your aquarium). Do NOT use table salt or epsom salt. Use either aquarium salt or, solar salt, or rock salt. If you have a water softner that uses salt, you can take some salt out of that and put it in your aquarium. You need to use 1 teaspoon of salt per gallon. If you have any questions, just ask. biggrin.gif

And I would take the crates out of the tank if they have sharp edges. Try some big terra cotta pots instead, layed on their sides....smile.gif
