How long will frozen foods keep in the freezer and still be nutritious for my fish? Should I toss them out after they've been there for a certain length of time, like other types of fish food? Thanks guys! smile.gif

I don't know the answer too that question but I routinely buy the large hikari flat packs and they stay in my freezer for almost a year.
I would assume as long as they don't get freezer burn they will be OK.
Dry food is a completely different story.

Rob, your flatback surely lasts long! Wow! I bought one yesterday, and its usually gone within 2 weeks! Guess my fish are on the meaty site of life! rofl3.gif
Frozen foods can stay in the freezer for a long time, and I double bag mine usually with an extra freezer bag, just to prevent freezer burns...smile.gif

Thanks, thats good to know! I think I'll put my frozen foods in a freezer bag too, sounds like a good idea. biggrin.gif

yuck, i find they make my freezer/fridge stink!! I LOVE having frozen blood worms for my goldies, but they stink so bad and the stink transfers to the packages of the other foods. does this happen to anyone else?

No, I don't have that problem. Give it a try with the extra freezer bag, and see if it improves....smile.gif

yea mine have been in the freezer for like a year, no probs, and they dont smell either. I always forget at feeding time that i have those little worms in the freezer, its just so much more convenient to swap around the dry packaged foods than break off a block from the freezer.
