I posted a thread in the goldfish discussion forum asking about the compatability of South American Dragonfish (Violet Gobies) and goldfishies. Well nobody seemed to know so after a while of searching I came across this: http://www.aquariumfish.net/catalog_pages/...dragon_fish.htm

The dragonfish ARE compatable and are only aggressive to others of its own kind. Although, don't put them in with smaller goldies, as they might think it is food tongue.gif The eyesight of the dragonfish is somewhat poor and it's main food is live blackworms and ghostshrimp.

Just for everyone's information smile.gif I think they are beautiful fish and may get one when I get a bigger tank.

Hi. Lady E.

I posted something along the same lines in that thread too.

I think some folks are confusing our Dragon Goby (aka Violet Goby) with a species of Arowana.

Anyway, here's a link to a film that shows how and what these gobies eat. I hope I'm doing this correctly: Violet gobies feeding
