And yet we still have problems. I know I've got a small nitrAte issue...I'm going to check the levels of my regular tap water across the board, and then post a question tomorrow, in either the Goldfish discussion, or the Diseases section, about the best way to handle my water/nitrates. I don't know how much is "fixable," as it were.
Having lost a fish last August to SBD, this is not something I want to go through again. And like everybody says, it is terrible watching him swim funny, even if it is only a few minutes.
I know about the pea treatment, but what I want to know, is what are the best foods [both commerical fish foods, and things like lettuce] to both keep him healthy, diet-wise, but also to avoid SBD problems. I want this fish to stick around!
