Cuckoo for Calicos
My fish are fighting some sort of bacterial or fungal disease so I ordered some medi-gold. My question is: When should I start feeding them in the outdoor pond and how long do I feed them? Is it the same as regular feeding times...twice a day for 3 minutes? Thanks in advance! biggrin.gif

Yep, feed Medigold in the same amount and frequency as you would normal food, but make sure to keep feeding it for at least 14 days.

As for when you should feed, what is the temp of your pond at the moment? If it's below 50 then I wouldn't feed (it might help to heat the pond up a bit if that is possible?)

You'll find the pellets are heavy and sink very quickly though; I find it best to feed only two or three pellets at a time to make sure the fish see and catch them, before adding the next two or three. If you put loads in at once they just whoosh down to the bottom before the fish can get to them.

Hope this helps. smile.gif
