I'm going to try making some gel food tonight from one of the recipes I found in this forum. Are there any brands or types of canned tuna to stay away from? I don't eat any seafood so I don't know if there are types that have additives or anything that can be harmful to goldies.

Thanks!

How'd it go? Can't help ya on the tuna, I don't care for it either. ignore.gif
I've been pondering making some, but can't quite get the ambition
to make some. Thud.gif

It went pretty good, and it was pretty easy to make. I used peas, carrots, brocolli, spinach, blood worms, tubifex worms, tuna, and orange juice. It's not the best smelling stuff, although it smells less once the gelatin sets. It took a little while for the fish to warm up to it, but they seem to really enjoy it now. I'm not sure if I fed them too soon (the gelatin might not have completely set) but it seems to make a lot of mess. I'm hoping next time I feed them it'll be harder and not break apart as easily.

The worms were of the freeze-dried variety. I wanted to make sure there's a lot of protein in it for my oranda.
