Do you have live plants in your tank? They can outcompete the algae for nutrients. The plecos should help. A lot of people don't recommend common plecos with goldfish because as they age they seem to lose a taste for algae and many develop a taste for the slime coat of slower moving fish such as goldfish. Usually they are OK when they are young. Ancistrus (bristlenosed catfish) are recommended to be kept with goldfish since they don't become aggressive as they age. They are also great little algae eaters. I have also had good success with common ramshorn snails eating algae, although some people don't find them much good. Mine seem hungry enough to clear algae, though.
Really what you have to do is remove the conditions that allow the algae to grow. You can try cutting down on the amount of light the tank receives by only leaving the tank light on 10 hours per day. Water changes and gravel vacs are good to remove excess nutrients. Don't over feed the fish. Add live plants to use excess nutrients.
Good luck
