Are the lights you use for your house exactly the same with the ones you use for aquariums?
Ranchugirl
The light fixture you can use for both, yes, but the bulbs should be some sort of aquarium bulbs, depending on what you wonna achive. With a planted tank, you can get Nutragrow or any growing light that has 2-3 wattage per gl of water, for the sheer fun of just having brightly looking fish and plants, something like a color bulb is fine (arctinic blue or pink, for example). Or you just want your fish to have light, well, then, nnnnnn sells aquarium bulbs for that kind of fixture for 5 bucks each....smile.gif
