Disease Help

This forum is for goldfish in need of help or just general disease discussion.


Please provide the following details when requesting help for Goldfish Problems:





[*]Test Results for the Following:
[*]Ammonia Level?
[*]Nitrite Level?
[*]Nitrate level?
[*]Ph Level, Tank (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines)?
[*]Ph Level, Tap (If possible, KH, GH and chloramines)?
[*]Brand of test-kit used and whether strips or drops?

[*]Water temperature?
[*]Tank size (how many gals.) and how long has it been running?
[*]What is the name and size of the filter(s)?

[*]How often do you change the water and how much?
[*]How many fish in the tank and their size?
[*]What kind of water additives or conditioners?
[*]What do you feed your fish and how often?
[*]Any new fish added to the tank?
[*]Any medications added to the tank?
[*]Any unusual findings on the fish such as "grains of salt," bloody streaks, frayed fins or fungus?
[*]Any unusual behavior like staying at the bottom, not eating, etc.?

Also with each disease page I added meds that would work to help cure the problem.

Great Idea! Are you planning pages for what is available overseas? Like an Aussie page or a U.K. page?

GREAT idea! This is definately going to help so much!!! I have pointed a few ppl to the disease board for treatment ideas, but knowing which meds to use will be a big help!

This is an awesome idea Koko! It will help loads of people, letting them know what meds they need for whatever diesease their fish have :D

It looks great Koko. Most of Meds mentioned are not available in the UK. Acriflavine is only available in meds here and not on its own. Acriflavine is an ingredient in a few meds here inthe UK.
