I have an Aquarium Pharmaceuticals Master Test Kit and found it a bit hard to handle the test tubes properly. Plus I read where some people get the wrong bottle (#2 when you wanted #1) Here's what I do:

My hubby made a test tube holder for me out of styrofoam

I sit out my kit & to keep up with which test is to which tube I place the bottle behind the tube it goes in. For the test with 2 bottles I place them #1 in front & #2 behind. When I put the drops in from the #1 bottle I place it behind the #2 bottle. Then I know I haven't used #2 yet, when I do use #2 I place it back behind the #1 bottle.

I make a routine out of it. That way I keep up with myself!

I love the API test tubes because they stand up on their own pretty well! I line all my tests up on the desk while I wait for them to develop. I have a phosphate test by nutrafin and the rounded bottom on the tube is a pain. I put all my testing supplies in a little box togetehr and I had to keep the plastic tray that came with that test because the tube doesn't stand on it's own. Neat tip Jeana!
