If you have a Betta or two in small tanks then they probably need to be moved around quite regularly.
A lot of people use nets but this can catch and tear at fins, especially the long flowing males tails, so I started using a ladle to catch my girls if they needed to be moved and it works really well. No more torn fins and they arent as stressed. :)

:rofl Imagine having company and "moving your beta" while they watched. Put a pot on the stove with water in it before you do it just to see their face ;)

Works on goldies too :D believe it or not my goldies are daredevils :lol: they're not afraid of anything including nets (they literally swam into the net) and my hand (nibbled on my hand) :D

ive used a cup with no problems!

a ladel seems easier though... *runs to search for one in the kitchen*
