Well the first thing that happened when i get there is that I got put to work :rofl

Setting up tanks and filling them with water, Ranchu and i placed atleast 12 10 gal tanks up for the show and get the airstones working......

Ranchu also made a wonderful poster board for the goldfish show and used photos from KGW, so you might see some fish on there thats been here before....But lets get down to the fun :D

By the way most of the goldfish that won were Ranchus and beleave me I dont think anyone could have done anybetter than her :D

Oh, It does not get better than this. I have a nice glass of wine, Paul McCartney singing "Hey. Jude" and I am looking at goldfish pictures on this new wonderful site.

AWWWWWWWWhhhhhh

Sigh of contentment!

Wow, Koko, I forgot how many pics your camera holds!! Lets see what I can find. With the board down, the pics have just been sitting there.....

Here we have the judge, Terry Cusick (chairman of the GFSA as well), with a big crowd explaining the judging process, and why certain fish are choosen over others... :)
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/TerryJudge.jpg

One of my shubunkins, although he has a Bristol somewhere in the bloodlines, his tail is more like that of a Bristol shubi....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/Shubunkin.jpg

Lester's wakin, being the Reserve Grand Champion this year! :happydance
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/LesterWakin.jpg

Chris, from Kois'R'us, with a crowd around his koi tanks. The goldfish filled tank in Koko's first post belongs to him as well....
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/KoiRus.jpg

Jenny (Jsrtist), this one looks familiar? Its Blacky, the big black moor from your friend! :heart
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/JenBlackMoor.jpg

Here we have the club booth, with Terry's wife Ruth (the Redhead), and a very funny Japanese guy named Franz. We had a ton of laughter with him, and he gave us a huge comet to take home. That comet started out as a 3 inch feeder comet, and is now a 1 ft beauty!

...more to come....

As for the koi part, the black/white koi won Grand Champion this year, and belongs to Martin Wilcox. Grandchampion is the Kohaku (red/white koi, also owned by Martin), and Reserve is the Sanke/Showa? (red/white/black)....

"Somebody" is trying to draw the correct shape of a goldfish on a piece of paper, and it even looked a little like a fish! :rofl3

Another calico......

And last, but certainly not least, the Grand CHampion for this year - a big blue/black oranda, which I just had bought an hour earlier! :thud
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v87/Ranchugirl/KoiFla%202005/GoldieChamp.jpg

And as you can see, Julia was enjoying herself as well! :tomuch:

Enjoy!!

Really enjoyed those pictures. So many beautiful fish. I would love to have that white betta.

Koko, I'm assuming you have a really good zoom on your camera and was not that close to that aligator.

Yes that camera has great zoom. But I tell you even with a chain link fence infront of me, that was scary to see one in person :yikes
