I lost a really super round one to dropsy. He held on for so long I had to euthenize him. I was really pretty broken up about the whole thing. More than I though I would be anyway.

We now have Chowder who is not nearly as round, but super super happy to see people and much more of a mid tank swimmer than the other two (Ryu - red and Myu - white) who like the top.

:rofl

I'm presonally not a fan of celestials or bubble eyes either, I just don't find them as elegant as other types.
I wasn't a huge pearlie fan until I got one, and now I :heart them! My Fred is too cute, but he's not super round, which is how I'd rather he stayed. I find the really round pearlies look a bit freakish...but still cute! I also like that they tend to be a bit smaller than other varities. I was thinking of getting another goldie soon but I don't want to have something huge, so a pearlie it may be!

My pearlscale is still pretty small even though I have had him for 2-3 years. He is rounder then most of the pearlscales I have seen and has a very short tail. The only reason I bought another moor was because he was cheap and I wanted another fish. I like to have at least one black fish in my tank. I am not drawn to telescopes because I have always had problems with them floating.

Here is a picture of Ping Pong. You and see his short tail and round belly.

No, wrinkle in her shipping bag, lol. I took those pics when she first arrived and was acclimating her in her bag to the tank water.
